Campers & Kit Insurance Requirements

What do you need to provide?

  • Copy of your photo card drivers’ licence (Address & ID must be up to date)

  • DVLA Check Code – obtain a DVLA check code here

  • Two proof of address from separate sources (Must meet all mentioned criteria below)

  • Security deposit (via BACS or Credit/Debit Card)

  • Signed rental agreement

For additional drivers we are required to obtain copy of drivers licence, DVLA check code and two proof of address.

Additional criteria:

  • Must be between the age of 25 and 79 with at least 2 years driving experience (Full UK, EU Licence types) - driver between 21 to 24 are considered by will require referral.

  • Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x Sp30’s, 3pts each) without referral. Single convictions totalling 6 points+ will require referral

  • No more than one fault or outstanding accident/claim/incident in the last 3 years

What is Proof of Address?

You must provide a total of 2 proofs of address from the following: –
1x primary proof of address and 1x secondary proof of address, or 2x primary proof of address

Both documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire date. The address & name on your licence must match both documents.

Any document relating to insurance will be declined - if you are unsure please get in touch with us in advance of your collection. Failure to provide the correct documentation may cause a delay or mean we are unable to allow you to drive the campervan.

You are welcome to blank sensitive information from the documents if you wish.

Primary Proof of Address:

  • Electricity

  • Water

  • Gas

  • Broadband/Landline (Including Sky/Virgin/BT)

  • Council tax

  • TV licence

  • Bank Statement

  • Credit card bill / statement

  • Mortgage statement

  • Polling card

  • HMRC self-assessment / tax credit / DWP

Secondary Proof of Address:

  • Student loan

  • Shotgun licence

  • Payslip

  • Mobile Phone Bills

  • Pension letters

  • Car Finance Statement

  • Loan Statement

  • Property deed
